He was an excellent visionary, orator and a person with tremendous foresight. The hospital in his name has been realizing Late Cardinal’s dream in a diligent manner giving health services to the people of Vasai.

HISTORY:

Two dedicated priests Mons.Philip Tavaris and Fr.Bernard Bhandari with dreams and determination founded Cardinal Gracias Memorial Hospital, in 1983, with 20 beds. Today, Cardinal Gracias Memorial Hospital is a 130 bedded community hospital run on no-loss-no-profit basis. The campus, spanning more than 3.35 acres, provides high quality medical care and attends to thousands of patients every year from Vasai and surrounding area. It has a team of well-qualified doctors and para-medical staff and is equipped with the best medical equipment and care system.
