Appriciation from NRI ( Mr. Suranjan Pal of USA)
The human species is inherently gregarious in nature and as such they can’t survive alone. But for the sake of earning a livelihood or meeting the needs of life, they are forced to live away from their near and dear ones. Bina Pal, the wife of movie actor, Pranab Pal is now living out her twilight days with only her loneliness and her memories of days long gone to keep her company. Her only son, Suranjan Pal who lives in the American city of Louisville Kentucky has wanted many a time to bring her mother over there. But, her mother wants to while away the rest of her days, clinging on to the memories of her husband.
And, old age has given rise to varied complications. Sometimes, Bina Pal forgets to take her medicines. Arranging for food on a daily basis has become problematic. She can’t even converse with people when she wants to. She can’t even go outside and get some much needed fresh air! Her son is very worried.
It was then that Suranjan stumbled upon the ‘Excellentiam Elderly Care Services’. After making some inquiries, he became eager to try out the service.
Now, Suranjan can not only check in on his mother but he can also talk to her face to face by setting up a video call. Needless to say, it is very relieving for Suranjan. Knowing that someone is there while you take your medicines, do some light exercise, go outside for a walk greatly reduces the inherent stress for her mother. It feels like someone is there with you! Now, Bina Pal no longer needs to go out to do a spot of shopping. Neither does she need to venture out to withdraw some money from the bank or for routine medical check-ups or for some healthy food or for a round of physiotherapy.
Sometimes by getting immersed in a game of ludo or chess, she takes a step back in time. Now she even figured out how to listen to good old songs over the internet via the wifi!
And, in this way the days passed blissfully. Regular video calls between Ma and daughter-in-law, chats with the granddaughter fills her mind with an unadulterated joy. Suranjan thinks, It seems like we are so near even though in reality we live so very far away.
In the midst of all this, Ma fell sick. The workers from Excellentiam got her hospitalized and even brought her back home in due course of time. And, so the days passed with an ample mixture of the good and the bad!
A few days after this, Ma got unwell again and this time she had to be admitted in the ICU where she spent a few days. Afterwards, the efficient employees of Excellentiam surprised me by setting up an ICU at home itself and then settling her down in that setup after bringing her back home from the hospital.
I used to be amazed, sitting so far way in America, watching them deftly go about treating Ma and caring for her amidst that ICU setup at home. Ma also felt assured and gradually she got better. I couldn’t believe that such amenities could be availed in Kolkata! Many thanks to the efficient and capable team of Excellentiam and their CEO, respected Anjan Majumdar. He has not only educated himself with the day to day teachings of the modern world but he has also inspired his co-workers.
But I do not wish to belittle them by just thanking them. In fact, with utmost confidence I can say that even you will be mesmerized by them, if you give them the chance to help you. Had I not seen the team of Excellentiam at work, I would never have believed that people outside your own blood can look after your near ones while you reside in some distant foreign land.
I wish nothing but success for the team at Excellentiam. If you give them a chance to stand beside you, you will see too like myself, that no matter where you live, be it any far off Foreign land or any distant part of the country, you will be able to do so in peace while your aged family members/relatives/friends spend the remainder of their lives under a careful blanket of unadulterated bliss…
Thank you Excellentiam…Thank you…

Suranjan Pal
