PVRI is a Post Graduate Institute in Ophthalmology with DNB Courses of National Board of Examination.

A not for profit  NGO registered under Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act- 2001, was established in January 2007 and has completed eight years of its existence as a reputed Super Specialty Eye Hospital in Secunderabad, Telangana State. PVRI operates Pushpagiri Eye Hospital in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh established in March, 2012. PVRI is administering and managing a secondary level eye care Hospital, the Indo-US Eye Hospital at Malakpet Hyderabad.
