PBA Eye Hospital was established at the Belle Vue Complex, Minto Park in collaboration with Aravind Eye Care System, Madurai, one of the world’s largest eye care providers and WHO Collaboration Centre for prevention and control of blindness. PBA Eye Hospital combines state-of-the-art facilities backed by top eye specialists trained in Aravind Eye Care System to bring superior medical services.

The hospital was set up at the initiative of Smt. Priyamvada Birla whose vision was to establish a world-class institution of ophthalmology in Kolkata for serving the people of eastern and north-eastern India and adjoining countries in South-east Asia. It is promoted by the MP Birla Group, well known for its philanthropic work, and is run by a not-for-profit trust. This keeps fees affordable and ensures that every rupee you pay goes towards further improving facilities and services.
